Benbrook Middle High School’s Student Council is kicking off a holiday blanket drive to help stock the North Texas Humane Society shelters, and they are calling on students, staff, and families to pitch in.
Donations of new or gently used blankets can be dropped off at either BMHS building. Each donation counts as an entry into a prize drawing. Staff and students in grades six through ten will have a chance to win gift cards to 7 Brew or Raising Cane’s, while juniors and seniors will be entered for a chance to earn a set of prom tickets.
Student Council members will be on hand to confirm donations and ensure each supporter receives credit.
It is a simple way to help keep shelter animals warm this winter while also giving students a fun incentive to give generously.
