Benbrook made history at this year’s Heritage Fest with a record-breaking display that was both fun and unforgettable. The Benbrook Par 3 Golf Course took on the ambitious challenge of building the largest golf ball pyramid ever attempted, stacking more than 19,000 golf balls onto a stage provided by the City of Benbrook.
The effort drew crowds of families and visitors who stopped by to sign balls, take photos, and cheer as the pyramid took shape. For many, it was more than a spectacle. It was a chance to be part of something that showcased hometown pride, creativity, and the joy of doing something bold together.
Guinness World Records officials are now reviewing the evidence, with official confirmation expected within 12 to 14 weeks. If certified, it will mark the first time Benbrook has set such a record, a milestone organizers say reflects the community’s spirit.
Special thanks went to course operators Terri and her team, golf pro Michael Furrh, Mayor Jason Ward, city staff, and the many residents and volunteers who pitched in to make the event possible.
The Benbrook Par 3 Golf Course, located at 1801 Winscott Road, remains a hub for recreation and community events. For more information, call or text 817-249-3727 or email deb@benbrookgolf.com.
