A new chapter in local public safety is about to begin just south of Benbrook.
Tarrant County Emergency Services District No. 1 will celebrate the grand opening of Whiskey Flats Fire Station No. 570 on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:30 am to 1 pm at 14485 Highway 377 South in Fort Worth.
The morning will start with a coupling ceremony at 10:30 am, followed by the traditional Engine 570 push-in ceremony at 11 am. Afterward, families can tour the station, meet the Whiskey Flats firefighters, and enjoy music, food, children’s activities, giveaways, and brisket fresh off the pit. A bounce house will also be set up for younger guests.
Events like this offer more than a ribbon-cutting. They give neighbors a chance to meet the men and women who respond when help is needed most. For those who live nearby, it is also an opportunity to see firsthand how the new station will serve the growing area.
Residents are encouraged to stop by, shake a few hands, and welcome Station 570 to the community.
