Western Hills Junior Earns Prestigious Music Scholarship.

Benbrook is proud to cheer on one of its own, Kendyl Northrop, an 11th grader at Western Hills High School.

Kendyl has been awarded the E. Clyde Whitlock Music Scholarship from The Woman’s Club of Fort Worth. A standout in the school’s choir program led by director William Glass, Kendyl will attend summer voice lessons at TCU as part of her award.

She joins two other talented Fort Worth ISD students selected for this honor: Richard Barrientos of North Side High School, heading to Baylor University’s Orchestra Camp, and Josiah Medina of Amon Carter-Riverside, who will attend the West Texas A&M Summer Music Camp.

These scholarships highlight The Woman’s Club’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young musical talent throughout the district. Congratulations to all the recipients on a well-earned summer of learning and growth.
