Friday afternoon marked a milestone years in the making as the Western Hills High School Class of 2026 crossed the stage at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center and stepped into their next chapter.
Families, friends, teachers, and supporters filled the arena to celebrate the graduates’ achievement. The crowd came prepared for the occasion, carrying flowers, keepsakes, and even oversized photo cutouts of their seniors. Smiles, tears, and loud cheers echoed throughout the ceremony as one chapter closed and another began.
Dressed in caps and gowns, the graduates marched to the familiar strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” before hearing words of encouragement and reflection on the journey that brought them to this moment.
Among this year’s top graduates, valedictorian Vainet Garcia plans to attend Barnard College of Columbia University to study Neuroscience. Co-salutatorian Daisy Daniels will continue her education at the University of Oklahoma, pursuing a degree in Education, while co-salutatorian Dai’Juan Williams will attend Dartmouth College with plans to major in Sociology.
The ceremony celebrated more than academic achievement. It recognized perseverance, growth, and the support of families, educators, and friends who helped these students reach graduation day.
