Trinity Valley School Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Sexual Abuse Cover-Up.

Parents are suing Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, accusing it of covering up widespread sexual abuse by a former piano teacher.

The lawsuit, filed March 26 in Tarrant County, alleges negligence and fraud, claiming the school failed to act swiftly, allowing at least 16 young girls to be victimized during the 2022-23 school year.

Eight families are seeking over $1 million in damages. Trent Muse, the former piano teacher arrested in June 2024 and indicted on five counts of indecency with a child, allegedly abused students in an isolated, unsupervised classroom. Parents say school officials knew of misconduct as early as April 2023 but concealed the truth, even encouraging off-campus lessons with Muse. They also accuse the school of misleading families about a CPS investigation and silencing discussions.

While the school maintains it promptly reported Muse and launched an investigation after his arrest, this marks its third legal challenge this year, following other allegations of misconduct and retaliation.

With families citing long-term trauma in affected students, the case raises serious questions about the school’s accountability.
