Trinity Valley School is facing a lawsuit from HR Director Carrie Skains, who alleges gender discrimination and retaliation following the dismissal of former piano teacher Trent Muse, arrested in 2024 for indecency with a child.
The lawsuit claims that administrators, including Skains, misled the school community about Muse’s termination, downplaying the severity of the situation. Skains also accuses the school of creating a hostile work environment and gender bias.
A third-party investigation revealed mismanagement of the incident, raising questions about the school’s handling of internal disputes and employee treatment.
The school has not commented on the ongoing litigation.
