FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU has appointed Dr. Floyd L. Wormley Jr. as provost and vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, effective January 1.
Wormley, who served as interim provost for the past year, joined TCU in 2019 and previously led efforts to double external research funding and expand the university’s research infrastructure.
A renowned microbiologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology, Wormley brings decades of leadership and scholarship to the role. “It is an honor to build upon the academic excellence, scholarship, and creative activity already in progress at TCU,” Wormley said.
