Stoic Barbershop Launches Holiday Toy Drive for Cook Children’s.

The Stoic Barbershop is once again turning its chairs and clippers toward something bigger than a fresh fade.

This December, the Benbrook barbershop is hosting its annual 12 Days of Cook Children’s, a toy drive rooted in the shop’s personal connection to the hospital and the impact it has had on their family since 2023.

From now through December 15, customers and neighbors are invited to drop off gifts at the shop. The team will deliver everything to Cook Children’s on December 16. The goal is simple: bring joy to kids spending the holidays in the hospital.

Participating is easy. Start by viewing the official wish list, and purchase any approved item, then bring it to your next appointment or drop it off during business hours.

Cook Children’s can only accept new, unwrapped items, with a special need for multicultural and multi-lingual toys and books. For safety and infection control reasons, used items, food, candy, handmade crafts, religious items, fleece blankets, latex balloons, or anything violent in nature cannot be accepted.

Those planning a larger donation can reach the Child Life team at childlifedonations@cookchildrens.org or 682-885-4241.

It is a simple way to make a real difference, and Stoic’s team hopes the community will help them fill the holidays with comfort and joy for kids who need it most.
