Fort Worth 7-11 locations have seen a sharp rise in ATM thefts this summer.
Thieves are stealing vehicles, ramming the front of stores, and using chains to remove ATMs. In response, 7-11 corporate has begun installing concrete-filled metal poles to deter the attacks.
Crimes are spreading into areas that were previously low risk. The most recent incident occurred near I-20 and S Hulen around 2:30 a.m.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
