After decades as a shopping destination for Benbrook and west Fort Worth families, Ridgmar Mall is preparing to say goodbye with a farewell event Saturday, October 17.
Billed as “RIP Ridgmar,” the event features an afternoon of entertainment, beginning with magician Mike Ince at 1 p.m., followed by DXO TX at 2 p.m. and Cloud Anchor at 5 p.m.
For generations of local residents, Ridgmar Mall was a familiar stop for shopping, movies, and weekend outings. Saturday’s gathering offers a chance to revisit a place that holds plenty of memories for those who grew up in the area.
The event flyer does not specify whether October 17 is the mall’s official final day of operation.
