Power and Internet Outage Hits North Benbrook.

โ€ข

Residents of North Benbrook experienced a sudden power and internet outage just before 10 PM, sparking a flurry of online speculation about the cause.

As wintry weather approaches this week, some community members feared that gusty winds might be responsible for the disruption. Others, however, linked the outage to a fire reported near Walgreens on 8600 Camp Bowie Blvd. Witnesses noted hearing multiple sirens and spotting firetrucks heading toward the scene.

Many residents, particularly those south of Camp Bowie and north of Chapin Rd, including areas near Western Hills High School, reported being without power. Despite the widespread concern, both Oncor and Spectrum indicated that no outages were officially recorded by the time of this report. Fortunately, power and services were restored before the incoming cold front is expected to hit.

We’ll update you with more information as details become available.

In the meantime, as Benbrook braces for chilly temperatures, residents are advised to consider investing in backup power solutions like generators, portable banks, heaters, candles, and warmers. It’s always better to be prepared than to face the cold without the right equipment.

Stay safe, warm, and dry, Benbrook!
