Benbrook families now have a new option for early education with the opening of Happy Heart Academy (HHA), a preschool program designed to prepare children ages 3–5 for kindergarten through hands-on learning, creativity, and community connection.
Founded by Shatney Stevens, an early childhood educator with more than 15 years of experience running successful schools in Plano and Dallas, HHA focuses on building confidence, friendships, and a love of learning. The program emphasizes small class sizes, individualized attention, and a whole-child approach that integrates literacy, math, STEM, and social-emotional development.
Healthy, dye-free meals are included daily, and parents can stay connected through the Brightwheel app, which shares classroom updates, photos, and milestone moments.
Unlike traditional daycare, Happy Heart Academy is built around growth and readiness, helping children develop both academically and socially in a nurturing, family-like environment.
