A familiar face behind the lens is stepping into a different kind of spotlight this week.
Michael Beard of Nightcrawler Media is hosting a community clothing drive to support Under The Bridge Fort Worth, a group that serves unhoused residents during its weekly downtown meal gatherings.
Beard will be set up in the parking lot of First Baptist Church of Fort Worth at 5001 NE Loop 820, where he will collect new or gently used warm clothing. The drive runs from 3 to 7 p.m., giving residents a simple way to help neighbors facing the cold season. Donations of new, unopened dry dog or cat food are also welcome to support pets living with unhoused individuals.
The effort reflects a growing movement within the city to look beyond headlines and connect directly with people who need extra care. For many donors, it is a quick drop off. For the recipients, it is a warm layer, a useful supply and a reminder that the community has not forgotten them.
