Benbrook has plenty to cheer about as the Western Hills Lady Cougars wrap up their soccer season with both brains and game.
Eight standout student-athletes earned Academic All-District honors by keeping a stellar average of 91 or above in all their classes—proving success in the classroom is just as important as performance on the pitch.
The recognition doesn’t stop there. On the field, the Lady Cougars racked up big awards: Samantha Jupiter was named Offensive Player of the Year with an impressive 26 goals and 5 assists, while Senior Mikayla Pressley claimed Newcomer of the Year honors for her breakout season.
Senior Laine Hammer closed out her high school soccer career in style, earning Goalkeeper of the Year after racking up 76 saves and 7 shutouts.
It’s been a season of hard work, heart, and high achievement. Congratulations to the entire Lady Cougars squad for showing Benbrook what excellence really looks like.
