The final buzzer may have sounded on the Lady Bobcats basketball season, but the recognition is still rolling in.
Several Benbrook student athletes earned district honors, a reminder that this team’s impact stretched beyond the scoreboard.
Junior Grace Klaerner was named Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, a rare back-to-back achievement.
Junior McKinzie Brookshier and sophomore Giuliana Lucero earned First Team All-District honors.
Sophomores Klarissa Lomas and Maddy Blocker were named to the Second Team.
Senior Juliana Velasquez and freshman Mareah Sainz received Honorable Mention recognition.
In the classroom, the Lady Bobcats also made their mark. Academic All District honors went to Maddy Blocker, Bay Bradshaw, McKinzie Brookshier, Ella Freeman, Grace Klaerner, Giuliana Lucero, Klarissa Lomas, Rachel M’Pinda, Mareah Sainz, McKenna Skipper, and Juliana Velasquez.
The season may be over, but the standard remains clear. Talent on the court. Commitment in the classroom. A program that continues to build.
