Fort Worth ISD Begins Search for Permanent Superintendent.

โ€ข

Fort Worth ISD has officially launched its search for a permanent superintendent, aiming to fill the role before the 2025-26 school year. On Tuesday, the board unanimously voted to post the position for a 10-day period starting January 23.

The motion, introduced by Trustee Michael Ryan and seconded by Vice President Anne Darr, did not clarify whether the search will include internal or external candidates. Interim Superintendent Karen Molinar, who has led the district since October 2024 following Angรฉlica Ramsey’s resignation, has expressed interest in applying for the permanent position.

Molinar, a 27-year Fort Worth ISD veteran, has extensive experience as a teacher, principal, and deputy superintendent. While some districts use search firms to find new leaders, Fort Worth ISD has not yet indicated plans to do so. The district is expected to issue a statement with more details on the search process.
