If you use the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football (DCTX) app to keep up with your favorite high school football teams, a few things have changed.
Following last week’s app outage and feedback from users, DCTX released an October 8 update restoring unlimited team follows for free users. That means fans can once again follow as many schools as they want without a paid subscription.
To add teams, open the Teams tab or select “Add a Team” on the home screen, search for your school, and tap the plus sign.
One feature still missing is “Games Near Me,” which DCTX says contributed to last week’s outage. It’s temporarily disabled while developers work on a fix. For now, fans can use the Scores tab and filter by classification or district to find games, check scores, and join live chats.
Subscribers can also watch games through the app’s Watch tab or davecampbells.com/watch and cast them to a television. A Roku app is awaiting final approval.
If you haven’t seen the changes yet, check the App Store or Google Play for the latest update.
And for those following the Benbrook Bobcats, Western Hills Cougars, or several other area teams, you can now keep them all in one place without paying extra.
