Firefighters remained on the scene of a vehicle fire at Frank Kent Cadillac in west Fort Worth early Saturday morning, October 10, after multiple electric vehicles caught fire Friday afternoon.
According to dispatch information reported by CrimeRadar.app, a passing motorist reported vehicles still burning at the dealership near Loop 820 and Bryant Irvin Road around 1:30 a.m., more than nine hours after the initial fire was reported shortly after 4 p.m. Friday.
Responding crews indicated that electric vehicle battery cells could continue burning for an extended period, requiring firefighters to remain on scene and protect nearby property from the flames.
The fire was initially reported at Frank Kent Cadillac, 3500 W. Loop 820, where multiple Cadillac electric vehicles were reportedly burning.
The cause of the fire, number of vehicles damaged, and whether anyone was injured have not been confirmed.
