Cougar Community Fires Up the Grill for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Western Hills High School closed out Teacher Appreciation Week in a big way, showing love to educators across campuses with food, fun, and Cougar pride.

Luella Merrett and Waverly Park staff enjoyed a surprise popcorn break room, while Western Hills faculty and staff were treated to a Chuckwagon-style burger lunch, complete with all the fixings. With 150 burgers on the grill, volunteers—made up of proud alumni, current students, and city leaders—stepped up to make it a week to remember.

Special thanks go out to Mayor Jason Ward for manning the grill and to Patty Presley for her continued support of Western Hills. The Cougar Pride Alliance continues to make a big impact with small gestures, and this week was no exception.
