A wave of confusion rolled through parts of Benbrook on Monday night as several residents reported sudden drops in water pressure, with some losing access altogether despite no billing issues.
Social media posts from the Timbercreek area described pressure that went from normal to nearly zero within hours, leaving families scrambling for answers.
One resident mentioned spotting a Benbrook Water Authority vehicle in the area just before the problem worsened. By the next morning, BWA crews were already on-site addressing the issue, quickly restoring service to at least some households. The cause has not yet been made clear, and no formal update has been issued.
The incident also resurfaced long-standing concerns. Several residents noted that low pressure has been a persistent issue for years, especially on the west side, and that recent complaints include odd tastes and occasional odors from taps.
For now, the best advice circulating among neighbors is simple: call the emergency number listed on your water bill when service suddenly drops. BWA typically responds quickly, but residents say staying alert and reporting outages helps ensure problems are addressed fast.
Benbrook Life will continue monitoring the situation and will share updates if the water authority releases more information.
