As winter weather settles into the area, the City of Benbrook has released an updated overview of how city services will operate in the coming days, helping residents plan ahead and stay safe.
The Benbrook Senior Citizens Center will be closed on Monday, January 26. City officials will continue monitoring conditions to decide whether the center can reopen on Tuesday, January 27.
Several sanitation services are also impacted. Yellow Bag service and commercial trash pickup are suspended for Saturday, January 24.
The City of Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center will be closed that same day and is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, January 29.
Republic Services will reassess conditions on Sunday to determine if further service changes are needed. Residents with questions about trash service can contact Republic Services at 817-332-7301.
City Hall operations remain under review, with weather conditions being monitored on Sunday for any potential closures. Emergency services will continue to operate as normal.
For pipe burst emergencies during any city closures, contractors may complete repairs and submit required permits to the Benbrook Building Inspections Department on the next business day.
City officials are also closely monitoring conditions to determine whether a warming center will be opened. If extreme weather develops, additional details will be shared with the community.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed, take precautions during the cold, and check for updates as conditions evolve.
