The Benbrook Bobcats put up a valiant fight but came up just short in a do-or-die rematch against the Brock Eagles at Chisholm Trail High School.
After dropping Game 1 in a tough 13-3 defeat, Benbrook came back with grit and a game plan, holding Brock’s hot bats to just three runs. But the Bobcats’ offense couldn’t quite get over the hump, managing only two runs despite a late push. The Bobcats baseball team ended their 4A regional playoff run in a nail-biting 3-2 loss.
With that, Brock takes the series and moves on, while Benbrook closes the book on what was shaping up to be a memorable postseason. This budding rivalry is far from over.
‘With both cities booming and packed with talent, expect more fireworks in seasons to come. For now, it’s hats off to the Bobcats—players, coaches, and families—for a hard-fought season. Time to rebuild, refocus, and come back stronger next year.
All eyes now turn to Brock as they continue their playoff journey.
