Lady Bobcats Look to Bounce Back in Game 2 After Tough Playoff Loss to Burkburnett.

BENBROOK — The Benbrook Lady Bobcats hit a bump in their playoff run last night, falling 13-2 to the Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs in a rough outing at Iowa Park High School.

The loss snapped an impressive 12-game winning streak and brought their overall record to 18-9.

Despite the scoreboard, there were sparks of offense for Benbrook. Mya Vasquez led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and scoring one of the team’s two runs. Another teammate chipped in with a hit, but it wasn’t enough to slow down Burkburnett’s bats.

The series isn’t over yet. The Lady Bobcats are back in action tonight for Game 2, and with their playoff hopes still very much alive, they’re looking to even the series and keep the dream going.

Due to today’s heavy rain and severe weather, tonight’s game has been moved to Castleberry High School at 5800 Meandering Road in River Oaks. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and while the forecast shows the rain letting up around 5:30, fans should plan accordingly—concessions will not be available.

Let’s pack the stands and cheer on the Lady Bobcats as they fight to stay in the postseason!
