Benbrook Library’s June Book Club Pick Brings Shakespeare to the Playground.

A classic Shakespeare tragedy is getting a fresh twist at the Benbrook Public Library this June.

The library’s “Bookmarked” book club will feature New Boy by Tracy Chevalier during its Wednesday, June 3 gathering at 11:15 a.m.

Set in a 1970s Washington, D.C., elementary school, the novel reimagines Othello through the lens of childhood friendships, jealousy, race, and betrayal.
