Benbrook residents will have a full evening of local government activity to follow on Thursday, December 4, 2025. City Council will meet at the Municipal Complex, 911 Winscott Road, beginning with a pre-council work session at 6:45 p.m. to walk through items scheduled for the regular meeting.
The main meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers and will open with the call to order, an invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Citizens will then have the opportunity to speak for up to 3 minutes on any agenda item.
Council will review the minutes from the November 20 meeting before moving into presentations, including a vote related to the Tarrant Appraisal District Board of Directors.
Staff will also share this yearโs floodplain management report, a detailed look at how Benbrook continues to prepare for and reduce flood risks. The report includes assessments, damage plans, and annual updates for residents seeking a deeper understanding of how the city manages these concerns.
Later in the meeting, the City Managerโs office will present a resolution related to a Texas Parks and Wildlife grant application that could support future improvements to local parks.
Residents may offer informal comments at the end of the meeting, subject to the usual rules regarding discussion and action. The meeting closes with brief remarks from council members and staff, followed by adjournment.
A post-meeting work session will focus on the cityโs social media policy and updates on capital improvements planned at Dutch Branch Park.
