A Parker County arrest has brought new movement to a devastating September collision that claimed the life of 35-year-old Brytni Elliot and injured her husband and daughter.
Authorities say 20-year-old Eduardo Partida has now been formally charged in connection with the head-on crash that occurred just after midnight on September 14 at Boat Club Road and Ten Mile Bridge Road.
Responding officers and medics found two heavily damaged vehicles and an overturned truck, with one person trapped and another already deceased. Witnesses reported a wrong-way driver at the time of the collision. Brytani Elliot died at the scene, while her husband Spencer, a Keller High School coach, and their 12-year-old daughter Allie were taken to local hospitals in critical condition. Both have since recovered.
The timeline for charges has raised questions in the community. According to Fort Worth police, the delay was tied to the need for confirmed blood toxicology results. Those tests can take several weeks to two months to process, and investigators must wait for them before filing intoxication-related charges.
Partida now faces charges of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury.
This case remains a painful reminder of how quickly lives can change on the road and why impaired driving investigations often require both patience and precision.
