Families in Benbrook looking for a safe and productive place for middle school students after the final bell now have another option.
Registration is open for the Fort Worth After School program at Benbrook Middle School, serving students in grades 6-8. The program runs Tuesday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing students with a structured place to learn, connect, and stay active during the late afternoon.
The program blends academic support with hands-on activities. Students can receive homework help and academic enrichment while participating in arts and crafts, technology learning, social-emotional development, and college- and career-readiness activities. Health and nutrition education, as well as recreational fitness, are also part of the experience.
Programs like this often become a steady routine for families who want students to stay engaged after school while building friendships and skills that carry into the classroom and beyond.
Parents interested in enrolling their child can learn more about the Fort Worth After School program at https://www.fwisd.org or by contacting the campus program supervisor, Mary Quinn, at mary.quinn@fwisd.org or by calling 817-815-7100.
For many Benbrook families, programs like this offer something simple but important. A place where students can keep learning, stay active, and end the school day on a strong note.
