FWISD Summer Program Helps Students Get Ahead in Math.

For students who enjoy math and are ready for a challenge, Fort Worth ISD is offering a head start this summer.

The Advanced Academic Immersion (A2I) program is a Summer 2026 acceleration opportunity designed to help high school students move into upper-level math courses before graduation. The program focuses on preparing students for a more rigorous academic path, especially those whose math potential may not always be recognized in a traditional classroom setting.

Courses are offered at no cost to Fort Worth ISD students. Transportation is provided from the home high school, and breakfast and lunch are included. This summerโ€™s program runs June 2 through July 9, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., at Oscar Dean Wyatt High School, 2400 East Seminary Drive in Fort Worth.

Students entering high school in Fall 2026, including current eighth graders, are eligible. Participants must complete the required prerequisite courses and pass a designated pre-test. Courses offered include Honors Algebra I, Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra II, and Honors Precalculus.

For Benbrook families with students who are strong in math and ready to move faster, this could be a meaningful step toward advanced coursework and future college preparation.
