Benbrook, let’s give a big shout-out to some exceptional young leaders from Western Hills High School!
This past Tuesday evening was a proud moment for our community as five distinguished Cadets took center stage at the Fort Worth ISD Board meeting.
These impressive students – Cadet Colonel Isabella Fierro, Cadet Captain Joseph Lucero, Cadet Majors David Curry El (who is enlisting in the Navy) and Landon Whittaker (who is enlisting in the Coast Guard), along with Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Yaretzi Navarro – had the honor of leading the Pledge of Allegiance, the Texas Pledge, and sharing the FWISD Vision and Mission statements.
Their exemplary leadership didn’t go unnoticed. Following their presentation, the Cadets were warmly acknowledged and thanked by all the Board members and Dr. Molinar, who expressed sincere appreciation for their outstanding contributions throughout the school year. They even had the chance to pose for a photo with the FWISD JROTC Director, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Crossley. We can look forward to seeing a more formal picture of the Cadets with the Board members in a future FWISD publication, courtesy of John Papa’s photography.
These Cadets embody dedication and service, and their commitment truly reflects the highest standards of leadership and integrity. Benbrook is incredibly proud of these bright young individuals!
