The TCU women’s basketball team continues its record-breaking run, punching its ticket to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history with a thrilling 71-62 victory over No. 3 Notre Dame.
Despite 15 turnovers, the Horned Frogs mounted an impressive comeback after trailing 46-37 late in the third quarter. A 14-6 scoring surge brought them within a point heading into the fourth, setting the stage for a dominant finish.
Hailey Van Lith delivered under pressure, dropping 26 points, with 12 coming in the fourth quarter. Sedona Prince added 21 points and six blocks, while Madison Conner chipped in 13 points, knocking down two clutch three-pointers.
Van Lith made history, becoming the first player in NCAA history to lead three different schools to the Elite Eight. Meanwhile, TCU’s defense locked down Notre Dame’s top scorer, holding her to just 15 points on 3-for-19 shooting.
Next up, TCU faces No. 1 seed Texas a few hours from now at Legacy Arena, with a Final Four berth on the line.
