The Western Hills High School Cougar Marching Band wrapped up its UIL Region Marching Contest with an overall Excellent Division rating, earning scores of 1-2-2 from judges Saturday.
The performance marked a season of growth for the Cougars, whose early morning rehearsals and countless hours of practice helped prepare them for competition.
The school recognized Ms. Hinds, Ms. Whiddon, and Ms. Lagunas for their dedication to the band program, along with faculty and staff who supported students throughout the season.
Adding to the occasion, Benbrook Mayor Jason Ward visited the band’s morning rehearsal before the contest to offer encouragement.
Congratulations to the Cougar Band on a season of hard work and progress!
