There’s still time to squeeze a little more swimming into summer.
The Benbrook Community Center YMCA has added a Swim Strokes class to its August swim schedule, giving swimmers a chance to move beyond the basics and strengthen their skills in the water.
The program focuses on proper technique for the major swimming strokes while helping participants improve endurance, efficiency, and confidence.
Classes run Monday through Thursday, Aug. 17 through Aug. 27, from 4:30 to 5 p.m.
Registration is now open. Families interested in participating can contact the YMCA’s Aquatics Director at sridge@ymcafw.org.
For swimmers who already know their way around the pool but want to sharpen their strokes, this late-summer addition offers another opportunity to keep learning before August slips away.
