Fort Worth Seeks Final Public Input on Proposed Data Center Rules.

โ€ข

The window for public input on Fort Worth’s proposed data center regulations is quickly closing, and community members still have an opportunity to weigh in before city leaders take action.

According to the 2871 Community Coalition, the City of Fort Worth will host a public open house on Tuesday, June 30, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Fort Worth City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail.

The come-and-go event will feature city departments and partner agencies available to answer questions and discuss proposed regulations on noise, setbacks, water use, lighting, traffic, and community notification.

Residents who cannot attend in person can still share feedback through the city’s online form at https://us.openforms.com/Form/c0eb6caa-b34f-443b-acb6-f38a6c136e6a.

To help residents prepare, the 2871 Community Coalition has also published a guide outlining its recommended regulations and suggested questions for city staff. The guide is available at https://www.2871community.org/2871_Open_House_Guide_June30.pdf.

The coalition notes that the public process is entering its final stages.

The Fort Worth Zoning Commission is expected to consider the proposed zoning amendments on July 8, followed by a City Council vote on Aug. 11 addressing proposed regulations related to zoning, noise, water use, and economic development.

Whether residents support or oppose the proposed regulations, organizers encourage anyone interested in the issue to participate while public input is still being accepted.
