The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information about Tuesday morning’s fatal crash just northwest of Benbrook.
According to investigators, deputies were dispatched around 7:50 a.m. on June 30 to the 10000 block of White Settlement Road after reports of a serious collision.
Authorities say an SUV left the roadway, struck another vehicle, and then crashed into a tree, trapping the driver inside. The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate what caused the crash. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and determine the official cause of death.
The crash caused significant emergency response activity in the area Tuesday morning, with first responders working to extricate the driver and investigate the scene. Motorists were urged to avoid the area while crews worked.
