Residents will have an opportunity later this month to weigh in on how economic development funds are planned to be used in Benbrook.
The Benbrook Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) has scheduled a public hearing for Monday, June 15, during its regular board meeting at 7 p.m. The hearing will focus on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 BEDC budget.
The meeting will be held at the Benbrook Municipal Complex, located at 911 Winscott Road. Community members are invited to attend and share their thoughts before the board considers approval of the proposed budget.
Those unable to attend in person may also submit written comments to Breanna Bowen, Manager of EDC and Marketing, outlining their position on the proposal.
Public hearings provide residents with a chance to learn more about how local economic development resources are allocated and to participate in discussions that help shape Benbrook’s future. As budget planning moves forward, city leaders are encouraging interested citizens to make their voices heard.
