Outgrown Uniforms Could Help Hundreds of FWISD Students This Fall.

As another school year winds down, closets across Benbrook and Fort Worth are filling up with uniforms, backpacks, and spirit shirts that no longer fit.

Instead of tossing them, Fort Worth Community Collaborative is asking families to bag them up and donate them to local students preparing for the next school year.

The organization is collecting gently used backpacks, school uniforms, and spirit shirts as part of its back-to-school outreach effort serving FWISD students. This year’s goal is ambitious but simple: help 1,000 kids start the school year with what they need.

Families are encouraged to separate and label back-to-school items before dropping them off at the organization’s pink donation bin located at 8645 Camp Bowie West Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76116.

There is something meaningful about school supplies that have already lived a little life. A backpack carried through one student’s school year can quietly become part of another student’s fresh start a few months later.
