Back-to-school shopping just got a little easier—and more fun—for Benbrook parents with students headed to BMHS.
One mom asked a simple question about the dress code, and a flood of responses from fellow parents quickly followed.
It turns out that if your teen is starting at Benbrook Middle-High School this fall, polos aren’t a must. According to several parents, students are free to wear spirit shirts every day. Some even said their kids haven’t touched a polo shirt all year.
For one mom, this was the green light to start stocking up. Others chimed in with tips, like where to buy local spirit wear without breaking the bank. Popular spots include Elliana’s Little Boutique and JL Creations, both praised for offering a wide range of options at great prices.
While high schoolers at BMHS seem to enjoy more flexibility, younger students at nearby schools don’t all have the same rules. At Westpark, spirit shirts are reportedly allowed daily, but at Rolling Hills, they’re still limited to Fridays. A few parents even shared stories of their kids being dress-coded when trying to wear spirit gear on other days.
So, if your student’s heading to BMHS, you might want to skip the polos and load up on spirit wear instead. It’s one less thing to stress about and one more way for students to show off their school pride.
