Leadership at Western Hills High School is showing up in classrooms, on the field, in student organizations, and in the everyday choices students make when no one is watching.
During Student Leadership Week, Western Hills took time to spotlight students who are helping shape the heart of campus culture through service, character, and consistency.
From Student Council and Key Club to National Honor Society, Senior Board, TAFE, athletics, cheerleading, and the Superintendent Advisory Board, these students are carrying more than titles. They are setting the tone for what leadership looks like.
Students like Christopher Robertson, Rozlynn Gilbert, Addison Dudley, Aleah Gonzalez, Vivian Hernandez, Daisy Daniels, and Era Beqiri were recognized for their leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
Their words reflected the same mindset. “Keep your hand raised, even when it shakes,” one student shared. Another reminded classmates, “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”
These are not just senior quotes for a poster. They reflect the kind of leadership Western Hills is building: students who serve, encourage, and help others believe they belong.
Schools are often remembered for championships and big moments, but just as important are the students quietly creating a better environment for everyone around them.
At Western Hills, Cougar pride looks a lot like that. It looks like students are leading with purpose.
