BENBROOK, Texas—In late January 2025, Pipeline Analysis, LLC, in collaboration with the Benbrook Water Authority (BWA), will begin assessing a portion of the city’s wastewater collection system.
This project, part of a 10-year Sanitary Sewer Overflow Initiative (SSOI) approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in 2018, aims to identify areas needing rehabilitation and reduce sewer overflow risks.
The evaluation’s first phase includes sanitary sewer manhole inspections, followed by smoke testing in late February or early March 2025. Video inspections of select mains will follow. During testing, residents may notice harmless, low-odor smoke, which is not a fire hazard.
