What It’s Really Like Living Near Benbrook Middle High School.

Families considering a move into Westpark near Benbrook Middle High School often ask the same question. How loud does it get on game nights?

According to neighbors who live closest to the campus, noise is rarely a concern. BMHS does not host varsity football games, so there is no marching band or late-night crowds. At most, some residents can faintly hear an announcer during JV or middle school games, but most say it is barely noticeable.

Those living a block or two away describe the neighborhood as quiet, even during sporting events. Baseball games and occasional band practice were mentioned more often than football, but both typically end early and do not disrupt daily routines.

Traffic, not noise, is the bigger factor. Drop-off, pick-up, and game nights can slow things down briefly, especially near 377. Several residents noted that highway traffic and nearby air traffic are more noticeable than school events.

Longtime homeowners consistently describe Westpark as calm, friendly, and family-focused. For many, the sounds of school activities are simply part of living in an active community.
