As Thanksgiving inches closer, Benbrook residents are comparing notes on where to pick up fully cooked holiday meals.
What started as a simple question quickly turned into a helpful list of spots offering everything from traditional turkey to Cajun-inspired twists.
Central Market came up more than once, with several locals saying they have had reliable holiday spreads there. Others pointed to Bonnell’s, which is still taking orders through Wednesday and remains a favorite for those wanting an elevated, chef-prepared option.
For something with a Cajun kick, Dusty Biscuit is offering fried turkey orders, and early birds say the process is quick and easy. Soulman’s BBQ also made the list for anyone who wants smoked turkey or ham without having to manage the smoker at home.
A few longtime staples surfaced as well. Luby’s continues to offer Thanksgiving meals at select locations, including the one off I-20 near Forest Hill. Roy Pope Grocery is also accepting orders until Wednesday and has become a go-to for families who want a quality meal without the kitchen marathons.
In a season when time is tight and expectations run high, these local recommendations give residents several ways to enjoy a complete holiday table without turning on the oven.
