North Texas could be in for a stretch of wintry weather late Friday night through early Sunday, and while it is not time to panic, it is time to pay attention.
Several weather models are aligning on a system that may bring rain, sleet, freezing rain, or snow to the region.
The exact mix and totals are still uncertain, and that will likely shift as more data comes in over the next few days. What is clear is that if the current forecast holds, travel and daily routines across DFW, including Benbrook, could be impacted for a short window.
This is familiar territory for January, especially with Stock Show season underway. Roads close, schedules adjust, and most of us have been through this before.
A little preparation goes a long way. Check essentials, plan ahead for work or school changes, and use flexibility where you can. If you have PTO, this may be the weekend it comes in handy.
Stay informed, stay calm, and be ready to slow things down if needed. Winter weather in North Texas rarely lasts long, but being prepared makes all the difference.
