Why Roundabouts Keep Benbrook Moving Safely.

While power outages can leave traffic lights blinking in chaos, roundabouts keep working no matter what. That resilience is just one reason these intersections are gaining traction across Texas.

Beyond keeping traffic flowing, roundabouts are designed with safety in mind. Larger vehicles like buses and trucks can navigate them easily thanks to truck aprons built into the center, giving wide-turning vehicles the space they need without disrupting traffic.

This week marks #RoundaboutsWeek, a chance to highlight how these designs improve safety, reduce delays, and adapt to real-world challenges. For Benbrook residents, it’s a reminder that sometimes the simplest solutions — like a circle in the road — are also the smartest.
