Western Hills Student Represents Campus in Superintendent Advisory Meeting.

A typical school day turned into a meaningful moment for one Western Hills High School student this week.

Christopher Robertson was selected to meet with the district’s new superintendent as part of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, a group designed to bring student voices into real conversations about school life and leadership.

During the meeting, Robertson had the chance to share ideas, ask questions, and take part in a one-on-one discussion about issues that matter on campus.

School leaders say opportunities like this go beyond recognition. They create space for students to speak honestly about their experiences and help shape decisions that affect their daily lives. Robertson’s participation reflects a growing effort across the district to keep students at the center of those conversations.

For Western Hills, the moment carried a sense of pride. Having a student represent the campus in that setting is a reminder that leadership is not limited to adults, and that the next generation is already stepping into the role.

It is a small window into how schools can work when listening goes both ways.
