Storms Could Rumble Through Benbrook by Dinner.

Benbrook residents, don’t let the sunshine fool you.

While it’s clear and climbing into the low 90s this afternoon, there’s a 50% chance we’ll see showers and storms roll in after 4 p.m. Winds are steady out of the south-southeast, but the real weather shift could come closer to 6 p.m., when the storm line starts pushing south into the metro.

Forecasters are keeping an eye on gusty winds that could reach 60 mph and hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter. While the risk of tornadoes is low, it’s not off the table. If you have evening plans or pets outside, now’s the time to prep.

Tonight, scattered storms could linger until around 1 a.m., followed by partly cloudy skies and a cool-down to the upper 60s. Winds will shift to the northeast, calming down a bit. Rainfall totals could vary, with some areas seeing as much as half an inch during stronger cells.

Best move? Keep your phone charged, stay weather-aware, and be ready to shift indoors if things escalate.
