Benbrook seniors kicked off their annual Senior Assassin game this week, bringing a popular high school tradition back into local neighborhoods.
In the game, students try to eliminate assigned classmates using water guns while avoiding being tagged themselves. The activity often takes place early in the morning or late in the evening, as players try to catch their targets off guard.
A few residents have been surprised to see students dressed in dark clothing moving quietly through yards and driveways, only to realize the teens were carrying water guns.
While many seniors see the game as a fun way to close out the school year, some neighbors are urging students to be mindful of how their actions may appear, especially in the early morning hours.
For now, the reminder making its way around the neighborhood is simple. If you see teens sneaking around with water guns, it may just be the latest round of Senior Assassin.
