Tuesday’s downpour didn’t just bring rain. It knocked out power for several homes along Ben Day Murrin Road.
As lightning lit up the sky, many residents turned to the Tri-County app looking for answers, only to find silence on the other end.
Some folks driving along 377 around 6 p.m. said they saw a transformer blow near the Smash Burger food truck, which could explain the sudden outage. While some were back online in 15 minutes, others waited closer to half an hour before the lights flicked back on.
At the moment, power seems to be fully restored. But the mystery of the blown transformer still lingers. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
