South Korean food giant SPC Group, owner of the Paris Baguette bakery-café chain, is set to build its first North American manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas, bringing 450 jobs to the area.
Announced on Jan. 28, the 267,000-square-foot facility will be located in Highpoint Business Park, near Interstate 35W, and is expected to open by late 2027.
SPC Group is investing $165 million in the project, with Burleson and Johnson County contributing $10 million.
While the overall economic impact remains undisclosed, city officials expect the plant to boost local tax revenues and accelerate SPC’s aggressive North American expansion, with plans to increase Paris Baguette locations from 210 to 1,000 in the next five years.
Beyond serving Paris Baguette’s growing U.S. footprint, the Burleson facility will support Latin American expansion and distribute products for SPC’s bread-making subsidiary, Samlip.
