Drivers should plan ahead next week as westbound I-20 at Markum Ranch Road will close on Wednesday, September 3, beginning at 7 p.m. and remain shut down until 6 a.m. Thursday morning, according to TxDOT.
Traffic will be detoured, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, including I-30, U.S. Highway 377, RM 2871, and FM 1187, to reach their destinations.
The overnight closure is part of ongoing roadway improvements in the area. Travelers are advised to allow extra time, drive cautiously, and stay informed about future construction updates that may impact commutes in and around Benbrook.
